From deepwater wellheads to high-temperature steam systems, from cryogenic LNG terminals to aggressive chemical processing plants — Prime Valve Supply engineers and manufactures industrial valves for the world's most demanding applications. Our valves are installed and operating across nine major industry sectors on six continents.
The oil and gas industry represents the most demanding valve service environment in the world — extreme pressures, corrosive hydrocarbons, H₂S exposure, high-cycle operation, and zero tolerance for leakage. Prime Valve Supply manufactures valves for every segment of the oil and gas value chain.
In upstream applications, our API 6A certified wellhead valves — gate, choke, and check — handle the full wellhead pressure ratings from 2,000 PSI through 15,000 PSI WP, in material classes suitable for sour service and high H₂S environments. For midstream pipeline transmission, our API 6D trunnion mounted ball valves, slab conduit gate valves, and check valves are engineered and tested for full pig-running service, double block and bleed configurations, and automated operation. In downstream refinery and gas processing, our cast and forged steel gate, globe, and check valves meet API 600, API 602, and API 623 requirements for the most severe service duties.
Power generation plants — whether coal-fired, gas turbine combined-cycle, nuclear, or concentrated solar — demand valves that perform flawlessly under extreme temperature and pressure cycling over operational lives measured in decades. A valve failure in a power plant is not a minor inconvenience; it is an unplanned unit shutdown costing hundreds of thousands of dollars per day.
Prime Valve Supply manufactures cast steel gate, globe, and check valves to ASME B16.34 for power plant main steam, hot reheat, cold reheat, and feedwater service. Our pressure seal bonnet gate and globe valves are engineered for Class 600 through Class 2500 applications, providing reliable seal performance at operating temperatures up to 650°C. Parallel slide gate valves are available for high-temperature steam isolation where wedge gate designs are unsuitable. All power plant valves are supplied with full documentation packages including material test reports, dimensional records, and factory acceptance test certificates.
Petrochemical plants process hydrocarbon feedstocks into the building blocks of modern life — plastics, resins, fibres, fertilisers, solvents, and thousands of specialty chemicals. The valve requirements in these facilities are among the most technically complex in any industry: fluid media ranging from benign steam to lethal toxic chemicals, process temperatures from cryogenic to high-heat, and regulatory demands for fugitive emission control that grow stricter every year.
For petrochemical service, Prime Valve Supply offers a comprehensive range including bellows-sealed gate and globe valves with zero-leakage metal bellows stem seals for handling toxic or environmentally sensitive media, forged steel valves in exotic alloys including Duplex Stainless Steel, Super Duplex, Hastelloy C276, and Inconel 625 for aggressive corrosive service, and full traceability documentation packages to satisfy the quality requirements of EPC contractors and plant operators. We also offer NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 compliant materials for sour service duties.
Oil refineries convert crude oil into transportation fuels, lubricants, and petrochemical feedstocks through a complex series of physical separation and chemical conversion processes. Valve service duties range from relatively straightforward crude storage and atmospheric distillation, to highly demanding catalytic cracking, delayed coking, and hydrocracking applications where temperatures, pressures, and fluid erosivity are at the extreme end of what valve technology can handle.
Prime Valve Supply supplies gate, globe, check, and plug valves for all refinery service classes — from atmospheric column overhead service to vacuum residue, from hydrogen-rich hydrocracker feed to high-temperature reactor effluent. Our cast steel gate valves to API 600 are a core product for refinery isolation and on-off service. For high-temperature, high-pressure refinery applications requiring compact valve dimensions, our forged steel range to API 602 is the preferred solution. Pressure seal gate and globe valves are specified for Class 900 and above service in main process lines.
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, air separation units, and industrial gas plants operate at the coldest end of the temperature scale — LNG storage and transfer at −162°C, liquid nitrogen at −196°C, and liquid oxygen at −183°C. At these temperatures, standard valve materials and designs fail catastrophically. Seals become brittle, carbon steels undergo ductile-to-brittle transition, and lubrication ceases to function. Cryogenic valve design is a specialised discipline where standard valve engineering does not apply.
Prime Valve Supply manufactures dedicated cryogenic gate, globe, check, and ball valves with extended bonnet designs in accordance with BS 6364, using low-temperature austenitic stainless steel body materials (CF8M, F304L, F316L) that maintain ductility and toughness at cryogenic temperatures. Extended bonnets provide the necessary stem length to keep the packing gland at ambient temperature, preventing packing freeze-up and ensuring reliable operation. All cryogenic valves are cold shock tested and low-temperature seat tested per BS 6755 Part 2 before delivery.
The chemical industry encompasses an extraordinarily wide range of process conditions and fluid media — from benign aqueous solutions to strongly oxidising acids, from organic solvents to anhydrous ammonia, from highly viscous polymers to supercritical fluids. No other industry places such varied and technically demanding requirements on its valve inventory.
For chemical processing applications, Prime Valve Supply offers valves in an extensive range of exotic and corrosion-resistant alloys. Duplex and Super Duplex stainless steels provide excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking in chlorine and bleach service. Hastelloy C276 and C22 are specified for oxidising acid service including sulphuric, hydrochloric, and nitric acid. Monel 400 is used for hydrofluoric acid service. Our bellows sealed globe valves are specified for toxic or carcinogenic chemical service where zero stem leakage is a regulatory requirement. We supply full material certification to EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 as required.
Safe, reliable water supply and wastewater management are among the most critical infrastructure responsibilities of any society. Valves in water treatment facilities must perform reliably over very long service lives — often 20 to 30 years or more — with minimal maintenance, in media that ranges from potable drinking water to aggressive industrial effluent and chemically dosed treatment streams.
Prime Valve Supply manufactures gate and check valves for municipal and industrial water treatment applications. Our gate valves for water service are available in ductile iron, carbon steel, and stainless steel bodies with resilient-seated wedge designs for tight shut-off in water and wastewater service. Dual plate wafer check valves provide compact, low-headloss backflow prevention in pumping and pipeline systems. For desalination plant applications — including reverse osmosis and multi-stage flash distillation — we supply duplex stainless steel valves with the enhanced pitting corrosion resistance required for concentrated seawater service.
Mining and mineral processing operations subject valves to some of the most physically aggressive service conditions imaginable — slurries carrying hard abrasive particles at high velocities, acidic process liquors, high-solid-content tailings streams, and the demanding pressure and temperature conditions of high-pressure leaching (HPAL) circuits. Standard industrial valves fail quickly in these conditions, creating high maintenance costs and production losses.
For mining and minerals processing, Prime Valve Supply supplies slurry-resistant gate and check valves with hard-faced trim materials including Stellite and tungsten carbide coatings that resist abrasive wear. For acid leaching circuits in copper, nickel, and gold processing, we supply valves in high-alloy materials including Hastelloy, Alloy 20, and titanium that resist the combination of acidic pH and elevated temperature. Pressure seal designs are available for high-pressure autoclave service in HPAL circuits. All mining valves are supplied with full documentation including material certifications and pressure test records.
Offshore oil and gas production platforms, floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels, marine tankers, and LNG carriers operate in one of the world's most hostile environments — continuous salt spray exposure, dynamic structural loads, stringent weight and space constraints, and classification society requirements that govern every component on board. Valve failures in offshore or marine environments cannot be easily rectified; unscheduled shutdowns at sea or on a platform cost millions of dollars and present serious safety risks.
Prime Valve Supply manufactures valves for offshore and marine applications in seawater-resistant duplex stainless steel and super duplex grades that provide exceptional resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-rich environments. Our offshore valve packages can be supplied with full traceability documentation, material test reports, and inspection records to satisfy the requirements of major classification societies. For marine cargo and ballast systems, we supply gate and check valves to the relevant ISO and classification society standards. Subsea valve packages with ROV-operable actuators are available for deepwater production applications.
